At Premier Homes and Granny Flats, we love working closely with our clients to achieve the home design of their dreams. Whether you choose from our extensive range of standard plans or decide to create a fully customized design, Premier Homes has got you covered.
There is nothing quite so satisfying for us than to see a clients’ new home take shape, designed precisely to encapsulate their individual personality and lifestyle needs.
We recently completed this custom-designed granny flat in the township of Officer, which features some particularly stunning design elements and distinct influences from the owner. With a spacious studio, huge laundry room and simply spectacular kitchen, this new granny flat carries the class and elegance of a well-designed, contemporary Australian home.
This granny flat has been built with a BAL 29 fire rating and features a 10,000ltr CFA water tank.
The beautiful galley kitchen features vinyl-wrapped cabinetry and bench-tops, a canopy rangehood with ceramic stove top and an under-bench oven. The matte black Santorini sink is a striking feature and ties in perfectly with the black window frames and marbling on the bench-tops.
The canopy rangehood is increasing in popularity and has the added benefit of recycling the airflow to outside the home. The ceramic cook top is easy to use, easy to clean and adds to a workspace that is sleek, sophisticated and functional.
The colour palette throughout the home is beautifully understated, and is especially effective in the kitchen. The timeless combination of black and white, with the play on different textures and finishes, brings this kitchen into the realms of beautifully modern with timeless appeal.
The spacious en-suite bathroom features the same vinyl-wrapped cabinetry as seen in the kitchen, with simple, textured white splash-back tiles.
The flooring is the specialised Accolade Plus, which is a fantastic non-slip flooring option that is incredibly hard-wearing, provides safety from slips and falls, and is easy to clean and maintain.
The low-lip frame in the shower allows for easy access with wheelchairs and mobility aids, while the grab rails and hand-held shower head ensure safe, easy-to-use shower for people with a range of mobility limitations.
The study/studio is separated from the lounge room by a partial wall and will ultimately feature plantation shutters as a visually striking room divider.
The combination of well-placed downlights and natural light, along with the soft neutral colour palette, evokes a feeling of serene calm that is instantly inviting.
